June is Pride Month in many countries around the world so we thought we’d highlight our quality queer porn at Bright Desire. Devourable has screened at more film festivals than any other Bright Desire film and the feedback we got from lesbians and queer audience members was so positive and encouraging. People fell in love with this fun, playful pair who share so much of themselves on film. Their actual queer porn sex scene went for three hours across three locations – and they were ready to keep going, though we teh filmmakers were exhausted and needed to pack up our equipment. Trinity
“Sometimes, in a relationship, you need to shake things up a bit.” Trinity is a short film about a couple experimenting with a MMF bisexual threesome. To create the film queer performers Lina Bembe and Parker Marx and newcomer Roo shared an incredible sex scene that went for almost two hours. This queer porn film plays with expectations while delivering some seriously hot sex. Both the short film and the almost real-time extended scene is in the member’s area. Dear Jiz
Jiz Lee is a well-known genderqueer porn performer who has been smashing boundaries in queer porn for over 15 years. When they started out, the concept of genderqueer-ness was relatively new. Filmed in 2013, this short film captures a time when Jiz’s queer porn was first making a huge difference to people and changing minds and hearts.
Dear Jiz is part of the voiceover series, though it took the idea in a different direction. In Dear Jiz, they read letters from fans who are inspired by Jiz’s visibility, activism and sexiness. They also masturbate in the bath. This film remains one of the most successful of Bright Desire’s creations, appearing at seventeen film festivals over the last decade. It’s Complicated
Cis woman Sadie Lune and trans man KAY Garnallen have been a big part of the Berlin queer porn movement for the last decade. They were also romantic partners for a time. We we shot It’s Complicated, they had become exes – but they were still keen to work together. Their scene raises the question: what does sex between exes look like? Can it still be hot and emotional and intense? In this case, the answer is yes! In spite of their differences, Sadie and KAy share an incredible porn scene together, complete with several of Sadie’s legendary orgasms.

See You Next Tuesday
Real life queer couple Ivy Lane and Mikki Mischief are both fans of horror films and comic books. This shared passion inspired the playful scenario behind See You Next Tuesday, where watching a horror film leads to hot lesbian sex. The title is the tradition play on the word cunt, as well as a tribute to the films of John Landis, who used the phrase “See You Next Wednesday” in his films. Ivy and Mikki’s scene is playful, with lots of laughter, along with some seriously hot cunnilingus and sex toy play. Fist Of The Spider Woman

The film was made the weekend of the Feminist Porn Awards in Toronto, with the voiceover inspired by Courtney’s own erotic fiction.

Immunized With A Gramophone Needle
In 2013 we met Aloysius, a well-known member of Sydney’s queer community. As many have done before, we fell in love with his infectious sense of humour and his wildly camp personality. Immunized With A Gramphone Needle is a short documentary that captures the spirit of Aloysius. He talks about his sexuality and identity, growing up and coming out, his love of opera and performing. He also talks about ageing and his health. Society still denies older people their sexuality; this film aims to shed some light on an otherwise taboo topic.
Sadly, Aloysius passed away in early 2023. This film was shown at his memorial.
This short film was selected to screen at the Xposed Queer Film Festival in 2015 and Cinekink NY in 2023.

Yes Campaign
In 2017 the conservative Australian government, in an attempt to put off legislating gay marriage, held a divisive national postal vote on the issue. The resulting homophobia and negativity of the “No” campaign caused a great deal of pain to the LGBTQI community. In light of this, Ms. Naughty created the Yes Campaign short film, a light-hearted short film that celebrates acceptance and consent. It’s a whimsical look at all the wonderful ways we can say “yes” to each other.
Yes Campaign screened at six film festivals and won Best Advocacy Short at Cinekink NY in 2018.
